Quantum Research International Inc. developed the T.E.A.M.
system based on a functional analysis of local emergency management
and incident control critical procedures. These procedures were
modeled and analyzed to establish critical information exchange
and supporting communications requirements that occur during emergency
situations.
The
T.E.A.M. system provides rapidly deployable communications for
on-site, cross-band radio net integration for VHF/UHF/700 and 800 MHZ systems,
military radios and commercial cell phone services. The result
is a series of ad hoc radio nets to support multi-agency response
operations. The system includes telephone and radio-to-telephone
integration services and can establish mobile radio relays and
radio connectivity into buildings and tunnels.
To coordinate relief and response actions, the system provides on-site Broadband internet connectivity and network support via satellite link for reach-back to fixed sites. The system also contains a cellular base station that allows access to existing cell networks from extended ranges. This capability provides standard telephone, fax and dial-up modem services.
The T.E.A.M. system is packaged in a self-contained shelter,
and can be mounted or dismounted in minutes. It comes equipped
with all accessories required for immediate, long-term, independent
operations and can be equipped with numerous options such as satellite
phone, satellite TV, wireless voice over IP, video monitoring
equipment, and other mission-specific equipment packages.
