When massive tornadoes and severe weather tore across the South on April 27th, Alabama received a devastating blow with a death toll of 250, leveled communities, and the majority of North Alabamians left without power. Tornadic winds up to and over 200 mph damaged other services as well such as telephone and internet connectivity. In addition to Alabama's Regional Incident Support units, purchased from Quantum, the Quantum First Response Tactical Emergency Asset Management (TEAM) truck was onsite providing broadcast quality streaming video, internet connectivity, and satellite communications in some of the hardest hit areas of Madison County in direct support of local law enforcement agencies. |
