On September 16, 2008, Quantum Research personnel delivered a T.E.A.M. system to the Alabama Department of Public Health. The system will be used as an Incident Support Unit for emergency communications during emergency situations to which ADPH is deployed. Thirteen members of the Public Health Department staff received training on how to operate their new system. Training was conducted at the Heritage Baptist Church in Prattville, Alabama. Training included power-up and power-down procedures, bringing the system to full operational status, and operating the various sub-systems, including the radios, radio bridge unit, satellite internet connection, pan/tilt/zoom camera with live video streaming and satellite television. ADPH personnel intend to use their new system frequently, to support civic events and demonstrations in addition to emergency situations. |
